Three injured in two-vehicle wreck

Three people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle wreck in Graves County Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s department.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says the wreck happened on Kentucky 121 North at the exit ramp of the Purchase Parkway’s 24 mile marker.

Deputies say driver 48-year-old Dawn Winstead and passenger 67-year-old Linda Crews were headed north on the parkway and took the exit. They say Winstead stopped at the stop sign, and didn’t see another vehicle headed south on KY 121.

Winstead pulled out in front of the vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Rebekah Butler. Deputies say Butler hit the driver’s side of Winstead’s vehicle. Both vehicles were seriously damaged, and all three women were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with injuries deputies describe as non-life threatening.

Mayfield police, fire and EMS assisted the sheriff’s department at the scene.
