Zack Pittman making remarkable strides in recovery one year later

Today marks one year since Zack Pittman was hit by a car walking home from school in McCracken County.  Since then, he’s gone through several surgeries and physical therapy treatments.

His mom, Laurie, tells us he is making remarkable strides in his recovery.  Zack returned home today from a doctor’s appointment in Louisville.

Laurie says doctors recommended Zack’s trach be removed.  Before that happens, Zack will see a pulmonary doctor because his mom says he has a little sleep apnea.
Laurie says the prayers and support for Zack are overwhelming and are making a difference in his improved health.  Zack will go back to Louisville at the end of June to refill his baclofen pump, which is filled with medication to help improve his muscle movement.
