Memorial Day weekend events, local government hours in Paducah, McCracken County

Here’s information on Memorial Day activities and hours in Paducah and McCracken County. 

The annual McCracken County Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Monday on the McCracken County Courthouse Lawn (or Courtroom C in Case of inclement weather). McCracken County Commissioner Jerry Beyer will speak to honor those who gave their lives for this country.

Starfish Orphan Ministry will hold its annual Color Run 5K at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Noble Park.  

The Paducah Parks Services Department will open the Noble Park Pool for the season on Saturday. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Memorial Day.

The Robert Coleman Sprayground at Husbands Street and Walter Jetton Drive will open on Saturday.

The McCracken County Courthouse and Paducah City Hall will be closed on Memorial Day. 

The City of Paducah Engineering-Public Works Department will not collect brush or limbs on Monday. The Compost Facility at 1560 North 8th St. will be closed on Monday, but will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday. The trash collection schedule for the Memorial Day week will not change.
