Free swim lessons being offered for adults

Are you an adult who doesn’t know how to swim but would like to learn? If so, you can take part in free swim lessons.

The Carbondale Park District and Saluki Masters Swim Club are partnering up to offer free adult swim lessons at Carbondale’s new Super Splash Park.

According to the Center for Disease Control, an estimated 37% of adults in the U.S. are unable to swim.

The free program consists of eight classes over a four-week period with two lessons per a week.

The class is for those who have little prior swimming experience and want to learn the basics of swimming.
