Graves County man charged with DUI after leading police on chase

A Graves County man was charged with a DUI after leading police on a chase.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday deputies were called to a Symsonia home on report of an assault.

While deputies were at the home the alleged perpetrator, James Willingham III, drove up in a car.

Deputies tried to get Willingham to stop, but he drove away.

A chase started, which ended at the intersection of KY 131 and KY 1684.

Deputies say during the chase, Willingham threw alcoholic beverages out of the car’s window.

Willingham was arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail. He is charged with:
– Reckless driving
– Fleeing or Evading 1st (motor vehicle)
– Failure to wear seatbelt
– Driving on DUI suspended license
– DUI 3rd aggravated
– Failure to produce insurance card
– Open container in a motor vehicle
– Tampering with physical evidence
– Resisting arrest
