Blood found in Five Star parking lot found to be animal

Some of you have told us you’re hearing about an incident at a Five Star gas station in Benton, Kentucky.

Benton police and Marshall County deputies were called to the Five Star gas station because blood was found in the parking lot. A test kit later learned to be faulty at first indicated that the blood was not animal, so investigators considered that it may have been human.

However, surveillance video from the store revealed the blood came from a buffalo carcass that was in a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck that was parked at the gas station earlier.
