Power restored in Obion County after Gibson Electric outage

UPDATE: Gibson Electric Membership Corporation says power has been restored to everyone affected by Friday’s outages. 

UPDATE: Gibson EMC says it now has two outages in Obion County affecting 38 members. An outage between Obion and Trimble is affecting seven members and another north of Hornbeak is affecting 31 members.  

Storms Friday afternoon have caused two outages affecting 989 Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members’ homes and businesses in a Local 6 county in Tennessee, and another Tennessee county. 

The outages are in Obion County and Crockett County.

The company says the outage in Obion County started at 3:02 p.m. and is affecting 417 members between Obion and Troy. Crews have been dispatched and will restore service as quickly as they safely can.

Gibson says the outage in Crockett County started at 2:51 p.m. and is affecting 572 members east of Friendship and Maury City and north of Alamo.
