Two injured in morning crash on US 60 in McCracken County

Two people were injured in a cash at the intersection of US 60 and Maxon Road Monday morning.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was called to the crash around 10:30 a.m.

Deputies say 80-year-old Norman Ellis of Brookport, Illinois was in the median of US 60 attempting to turn and go southbound on Maxon Road.

Norman failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled out in front of 28-year-old Larissa Ellis of Paducah, Kentucky.

Both cars hit the guardrail along US 60.

Larissa had to be freed by mechanical means from her car.

Both drivers were taken to local hospitals.
