Coal company releases name of employee killed in accident

The name of a coal miner killed in an accident in southern Illinois has been released.

The accident happened Monday afternoon at New Era Mine in Saline County, Illinois.

The American Coal Company says contract employee 34-year-old Robbie Clark of Eldorado was pinned beneath a piece of equipment he was working on.

The accident is being investigated.
