Four day festival celebrating the Man of Steel begins in Metropolis

It’s a super time of year.

Thursday is the start of the 38th annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois.

30,000 people are expected to take part in the four-day festival.

There will be autograph sessions with celebrities, a film festival, and a superhero costume contest.

Special guests include stars from Supergirl along with WWE’s Jerry "The King" Lawler.

The festival runs through Sunday, June 12.
