Man arrested after rollover wreck in McCracken County
A man was arrested after a rollover wreck in McCracken County Friday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies, firefighters and EMS responded to the scene of the single-vehicle wreck around 7:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Berger Road.
Deputies say 23-year-old Christian Fielder of Paducah was driving a red 1995 BMW 325i convertible westbound on Berger Road when he lost control. The vehicle ran off the road and hit a guardrail and a utility pole before it overturned and came to rest in a driveway. Berger Road was closed for about half an hour between Magalyn Drive and Oak Street.
The sheriff’s department alleges alcohol impairment and speed contributed to the wreck.
Deputies say Fielder was taken to Baptist Health Paducah, treated and released before he was arrested.
He was jailed in the McCracken County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol on the first offense under aggravating circumstances, six counts of first degree wanton endangerment, two counts of first degree criminal mischief, failure to produce an insurance card, and failure to notify the department of transportation of an address change.
