Murphysboro police looking for man connected to home burglary, arson

Murphysboro, Illinois police is looking for a man who may be responsible for a home burglary and arson.

Officers were called to a home on North 19th Street around 11:45am Sunday and noticed a man running from the back of the home.  He managed to get away.

Police heard a smoke alarm inside the home and a found a fire on the stove.  The man is between 18-25 wearing a pink collared shirt, blue jeans and a sock cap.
