Iron Mom half-marathon raises nearly $50,000

The 6th Annual Lourdes Paducah Iron Mom Half-Marathon raised $46,714 for the Family Service Society. Lourdes presented the check to the organization Monday. 

The Mother’s Day weekend event showcased Paducah to 836 runners from 18 different states.

Pam Truitt is the Executive Director of Family Services at the Family Service Society and she said her organization is grateful to Lourdes, all the sponsors, runners, volunteers, emergency personnel and spectators for making the event possible.

The Family Service Society is a non-profit agency serving as a crisis resource to the residents of Paducah and McCracken County. The organization provides assistance with food, clothing, medications, dental and utilities to local families in need.
