Juvenile charged with attempted murder in Calloway County

Calloway County sheriff’s deputies arrested a juvenile Monday after they say he fired handgun during a domestic dispute at a house on First Street in Almo. Deputies say the juvenile did not cooperate with them when they arrived at the home and assaulted one of the responding deputies in the street outside the home.

Sheriff’s deputies at the scene say they found a shotgun allegedly fired by the juvenile before they arrived. Deputies say 5 shots had been fired from that gun. One of those shots hit a car with four people inside. No word on the condition of the people inside that car at the time.

The juvenile is charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment, assault, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence.

The juvenile is in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting adjudication.
