Local community holds candlelight vigil

Murray State’s Office of the LGBT Programming Department and two local churches will host a candlelight vigil Monday to remember the victims in the Orlando shooting. The vigil will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 1501 Main Street in Murray. The vigil will start at 8:00 p.m.

Murray State President Doctor Bob Davies released a statement saying, "These acts must remind us, empower us, to reach out and embrace our neighbor and realize we are all in this together and we can not tolerate hate and prejudices."
