Court date set for civil case against church

A judge has set a trial date for two women who are suing a church where Michael Parsons used to work.  The women claim that they were sexually abused by Parsons, who was their youth minister at Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McCracken County.

Local 6 is not identifying the victims because they were underage when the crimes happened.  According to one of the defense attorneys, the case is set to go to trial on May 15th, 2017.  Parsons was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
