Cavaliers win against Warriors, dangerous celebrations followed
The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors Sunday night. The final store was 93-89. This is Cleveland’s first major sports title since 1964. That’s when the Browns beat the then-Baltimore Colts to win the NFL Champions. That was before there was ever a Super Bowl. The Cavaliers are also the first team in the history of the NBA to battle back from a 3-1 series deficit to win the championship.
After the game, celebrations in the street became dangerous. Intersections near the Cleveland’s Downtown were gridlocked after the win. Cleveland police urged anyone outside downtown to stay away because of the large crowds. Cleveland Police went on Twitter and posted a photo and dispelled rumors that the truck had been stolen. Police arrested two people early Monday morning for their part in the rowdy parties.
