Construction to start on new Paducah playground, volunteers still needed

Volunteers are still needed to help build Paducah’s newest community playground.

The first phrase of construction starts Monday on Paducah Rotary Club’s new playground.

The playground is being built at the corner of 14th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The 4,000 square foot playground will include a riverboat design, a castle, climbing wall, and more.

Volunteers are needed to help build the playground. Those who would like to help can sign up for a 4-hour shift by clicking here.

The build starts at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

If you can’t volunteer but would like to help, tools are also needed for the project. To find out more, click here.
