Man injured in single vehicle wreck in McCracken County

A man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded around 1:15 p.m. Monday to the scene of the wreck, in the 5900 block of Oaks Road at the county line. They say 22-year-old Brandon Lamb of Boaz was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue east on Oaks Road when the SUV crossed the center line and drove off the left shoulder. The vehicle hit a mailbox and a driveway culvert.

The SUV ultimately stopped on it’s side in a driveway. Deputies say Lamb told them he might have dozed off while driving.

Lamb was wearing his seat belt, and deputies say the front airbag did deploy. They say he was taken to Baptist Health Paducah by Mercy Regional EMS for treatment of "non-incapacitating injuries." The Hendron Fire Department assisted at the scene.
