Woman hurt in two-vehicle wreck on I-57 in Illinois
A woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck along Interstate 57 northbound in Jefferson County, Illinois, Wednesday morning, according to Illinois State Police.
Troopers say a car and a van were northbound on I-57, entering a construction zone at mile post 81.5, when they collided. They say the car tried to avoid hitting slowed traffic and hit the van.
The driver of the car, 28-year-old Robert Menna from Biloxi, Mississippi, was uninjured in the wreck. The driver of the van, 45-year-old Joellen Sullivan from Anna, Illinois, sustained injuries troopers describe as non-incapacitating. She was taken to a local hospital via ambulance.
Menna was charged with driving while his license was revoked.
