5th grader donates fans to local non-profit

Five homes will get some relief from the heat this summer thanks to a donation by a local 5th grader.

Earlier this week, Graves County 5th grader Austin Hunt and his grandfather Wayne Hunt donated five electric fans to the Paducah Cooperative Ministry.

Austin said he got the idea from WPSD Local 6’s Beat the Heat campaign.

He told the Paducah Cooperative Ministry, "I wanted to do something to help people who need help."

The Paducah Cooperative Ministry is one of agencies that benefits from the Beat the Heat campaign.
