Body found in Cape Girardeau

Cape Girardeau, Missouri, police say a body was found Thursday in the Mississippi River. 

Police say around 2:04 p.m. Thursday they responded to the area just south of the Missouri Dry Docks, where a body was discovered in the river. 

The body was removed by responders from the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and police officers. An autopsy has been scheduled for July 1.
