Man accused of child rape appears in McCracken County court

A man accused of raping a child and exposing the child to a sexually transmitted infection has a public defender.

David Hunter made his first court appearance Thursday in McCracken County. His next one is set for July 7.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says it was contacted by a local pediatrician who said a child tested positive for the infection. Hunter tested positive for the same infection.
