Body found in Rend Lake identified

The Franklin County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman whose body was found in Rend Lake Thursday.

The sheriff’s office says the woman has been identified as 24-year-old Alicia Rae Anglese, of Christopher, Illinois. The office says her death is believed to be a suicide or accident, but the investigation is ongoing to determine if it was actually foul play.

Anglese’s body was found at 4:11 p.m. Thursday in shallow water near the shore of the lake. Deputies say her car was found further from shore, submerged in the lake.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for 1 p.m. on Saturday.
