Families stranded after flash flood washes away road
Families are stranded after a portion of road was destroyed by flash flooding.
People living along Valhalla Lane in Marshall County found themselves with no way to get to work Thursday morning after a chunk of pavement collapsed. Gary Harper says it’s the only road that leads into his neighborhood of 10 homes.
"I’ve got a feeling we’re going to be stranded for a while, because they won’t be able to do anything until it quits raining," says Harper.
Marshall County Emergency Management says its hoping to do a quick fix on the road, possibly filling it with dirt so first responders can get there in an emergency.
