Father arrested for injuring infant daughter

Johnston City, Illinois Police Chief William Stark tells Local 6 Aaron Leinicke was arrested Friday on charges of aggravated battery of a child and endangering the life or health of a child.

Stark says Leinicke’s 45 day-old daughter was taken to a St. Louis hospital in late June.  CT scans showed the infant had brain damage.  The child is expected to survive and is still in the hospital.

Leinicke is in the Williamson County Jail.
