One person injured in home invasion shooting in Carbondale

One person was injured during a home invasion and shooting in Carbondale, Illinois.

Carbondale Police responded to a home on West Cherry Street Saturday morning and found a man shot in the leg.  Police say he and his girlfriend woke up to find two people in their bedroom.  He told police one of the suspects demanded money and then shot him.

He was taken to Carbondale Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.  

Police later found the two suspects and arrested 19 year-old Willie Williams and a juvenile male.  Both are charged with home invasion, aggravated armed robbery, aggravated battery with a firearm, and residential burglary.
