Benton, Kentucky police and the Marshall County Sheriff’s office are currently conducting a joint death investigation after a body was found in a field behind the Dollar General Store Sunday morning.

An autopsy was completed on Monday. The name of the person has not been released because police are still notifying family, but police say the body was that of a male.

Benton Police Chief Tracy Watwood says from the autopsy they do not believe that foul play was involved.
