Man on the run from police for over a month arrested overnight

A man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested overnight in Trigg County.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says Sunday night deputies got a call of a possible burglary in progress at 30 Lane Street in Dexter, Kentucky.

As a deputy arrived the suspect, 48-year-old Joe Noel of Hopkinsville, left in a car.

A chase began which lead deputies into Marshall County, across the Eggners Ferry Bridge, and into Trigg County.

The chase ended when Noel crossed into the westbound lanes of Highway 68/80 towards oncoming traffic.

A deputy was able to maneuver his cruiser to stop Noel’s car in the median. No one was injured in the chase.

Deputies have been looking for Noel since early June.

He was wanted on multiple warrants, including possession of a firearm by a felon.

He now faces new charges of:
Burglary 2nd Degree.
Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000.
Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (4 counts).
Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree.
Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Disregarding a Stop Sign (4 counts).

Noel was taken to the Christian County Jail. An investigation is ongoing.
