Three vehicle wreck sends 1 to hospital
Deputies say a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Bleich Road and Hendron Road in McCracken County Tuesday sent one person to a local hospital.
The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies say 56-year-old Jerry Farley was preparing to make a left turn onto Hendron Road from Bleich Road westbound in a GMC Yukon. They say 25-year-old Benjamin Grimm was driving a Ford F150 the same direction on Hendron Road and didn’t see Farley stopped, waiting to turn.
Grimm’s Ford hit the rear of Farley’s GMC, deputies say, pushing the GMC into eastbound traffic where it collided with a Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep, driven by 31-year-old Valerie Coffelt, spun around and blocked Bleich Road.
Farley was taken to a local hospital by Mercy Regional EMS for treatment of injuries deputies say were not incapacitating.
In addition to deputies and EMS, the Hendron Fire Department also responded to the scene. The roadway reopened to traffic around 45 minutes after the wreck.
