2016 Donor Days

You can donate the gift of life during the Red Cross/WPSD Local 6 Donor Days. It’s a two day blood drive designed to help increase blood supplies at local hospitals. The drive comes at a time when the Red Cross is issuing an emergency call for donors to help address a significant blood shortage. Your donation will ensure patients receive the transfusions they need.

You can donate July 13–14 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Robert Cherry Civic Center. You can also donate from 2-6 both days at the Illinois Star Centre Mall.

The requirements to donate include a blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification. You must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health.

You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-red-cross. You can also download the Red Cross Blood Donor App or visit the Red Cross web page using the sponsor code: PDD. You can also just walk in to the blood drive locations and donate any time. We know your time is valuable, so you can click here to complete a pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online.
