Hickman County sheriff injured in motorcycle crash

The Hickman County sheriff was injured in a motorcycle crash overnight.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Mark Green of Clinton was riding a motorcycle westbound on KY 58 west near C & W Lumber Company just before 9:00 p.m. when a deer crossed into his path.

Green was unable to avoid the deer and hit it. He was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment of his injuries. His current condition is unknown.

Green is currently the sheriff of Hickman County and previously served with the Mayfield Police Department.
