Two injured in crash involving car and lawn mower

Two people were injured in a crash involving a car and a lawn mower.

The crash happened around 1:19 p.m. Tuesday on US 63/Alben Barkley Dive at 40th Street in Paducah.

27-year-old Terrance Wilson of Paducah told Paducah police officers he was driving east on Alben Barkley Drive when he saw a lawn mower in the road. He said he swerved to pass it, but the mower turned left and the two hit each other.

20-year-old Kody Bordett of Calvert City said he was crossing Alben Barkley Drive to load the lawn mower on a trailer and looked both ways before crossing, but was hit as he began to cross the road.

Wilson and Bordett were both taken to local hospitals with injuries.

An investigation is underway.
