Work to begin Monday on Livingston County road closed due to erosion
Repairs to a Livingston County road that closed Thursday due to erosion from heavy rain are scheduled to begin on Monday, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
A section of Shelby Store Road south of Salem in Livingston County is closed to through traffic because of erosion at a couple of cross drains.
KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the Livingston County highway maintenance crew plans to start repair efforts early Monday. Todd says two cross drains, one of which is more than 12 feet deep, have to be replaced. He says it’s estimated that the road could reopen by sometime Wednesday.
