Local art gallery issuing a call for art

The Icehouse Gallery in Mayfield is offering a chance for local artists to show off their work.

The annual Community Arts Show will open on July 28 and art is needed for the show.

Anyone at any skill level and at any age can submit to have their work shown in the art show. Both visual and literary works will be accepted.

The gallery is family friendly so works may be rejected if they are deemed obscene or offensive.

There is no entry fee and you do not need to be a member of the Art Guild to submit your work.

Artwork must be brought in between July 21 and July 23. Each artist may submit up to two pieces which must be framed with a wire or clip on the back and be ready for hanging.

The work can be picked up after the show closes on September 2.

For more on the art show, call the Icehouse Gallery at (270) 247-6671.
