Woman injured after SUV plunges down embankment

A Boaz, Kentucky woman was injured after her SUV went down an embankment.

McCracken County Sheriff deputies were called to a crash on US 45 around 8:00 a.m.

Deputies say 57-year-old Brenda Ricks was driving her SUV southbound on US 45 when, for unknown reasons, she left the road and hit a guardrail.

The SUV then went over the guardrail and 50 feet down an embankment.

Ricks had non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
