Utility pole crash leads to outages for McCracken County homeowners

A Paducah man was taken to the hospital after hitting a utility pole Saturday afternoon.

Robert Pandolfi, 38, told officers he was trying to move over to make room for an Aces Tree Service truck but dropped off the right shoulder, hitting a culvert and over-corrected causing him to run into the pole on Epperson Road.

Jackson Purchase Energy customers were without power for sometime and the road was blocked to replace the pole.

No one else was hurt.
