NTSB releases preliminary report on deadly Graves County helicopter crash
The NTSB released its preliminary report on the deadly helicopter crash in Graves County earlier this month.
The report says a witness noticed what was described as a light wind when pilot John Randy Love tried to land the helicopter at the TVA building in Hickory.
That witness says he say the main rotor abruptly tilt to the right causing the helicopter to bank right and fall 75 to 100 feet to the ground. Love died at the scene. The TVA told Local 6 he was a 17 year employee.
The report says Love had more than 18,000 flying hours. To read the full report, click here.
