Police investigating weekend homicide in Charleston, MO

Police are investigating a weekend homicide in Charleston, Missouri.

The Charleston Department of Public Safety says on Saturday around 9:15 p.m., officers were called to 307 Naomi Street on report of a person shot.

Officers found 28-year-old Christopher Flannigan dead at the home. The cause of death appears to be a gunshot wound.

At the time a suspect was taken into custody.

An investigation began, but so far no charges have been filed.

Officers say there is evidence that the shooting was done in self-defense.
