Four vehicles involved in crash at Graves County intersection

Kentucky State Police are investigating a four vehicle crash that happened Monday morning in Hickory.

The crash happened at the intersection of KY 408 and US Highway 45 North around 8:37 a.m.

Troopers say three vehicles were stopped at the traffic light at the intersection.

All three vehicle were on US Highway 45 North. One vehicle was in the left lane, another vehicle in the right lane, and a third vehicle in the left turn lane from US Highway 45 North to KY 408.

As the three vehicles were waiting at the light, a fourth vehicle being driven by 78-year-old James Luker of Fulton, Kentucky approached the traffic.

For an unknown reason, Luker failed to stop at the light and rear-ended all three of the vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.

Two drivers were taken to local hospitals with non-incapacitating injuries. Luker and the third driver were not injured.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
