Oak Grove, Kentucky, man charged with murder arrested
Troopers have arrested an Oak Grove, Kentucky, man who was wanted on a murder charge.
Troopers identified a body found in Oak Grove, Kentucky, and were looking for a man charged with murder in the case on Wednesday.
On July 20, a body was found in a wooded area on Carter Road close to Ghost Bridge. Troopers say the body is that of 19-year-old De’Andre Marquis Palmer of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Palmer was reported missing on July 17 to the Clarksville Police Department.
Troopers were looking for 18-year-old Deqavion M. James of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Wednesday. KSP says James was arrested after he turned himself in a the Hopkinsville Police Department shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday. State police say he is in the custody of KSP detectives and will be jailed in the Christian County Jail.
The warrants for his arrest charged murder, first degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence. He is described as standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
James was considered armed and dangerous, and troopers said he should not be approached.
