Two arrested in connection to string of vehicle burglaries

Two people have been arrested in connection to a string of vehicle burglaries in Thompsonville, Illinois.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says 8 vehicles were burglarized.

Sheriff Don Jones says two people have been arrested and charged in connection to six of those burglaries.

They are 22-year-old Jessica Mcpherson of Thompsonville and 23-year-old James Much Jr. also of Thompsonville.

Both have been charged with six counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, one count of felony theft, five counts of misdemeanor, and one count of identity theft.

Money and other items taken during the burglaries have been recovered.

Mcpherson and Much were taken to the Franklin County Jail.
