3 girls fall from ferris wheel in Tennessee

Three girls were taken to a hospital in Tennessee Monday after police say they fell 30 to 45 feet from a ferris wheel. One girl reportedly looked like she may have suffered life threatening injuries.

The girls fell off a ferris wheel at the Green County Fair in Greeneville, Tennessee, east of Knoxville.

The Greeneville Sun took pictures of firefighters helping people get off the ride. The paper reports that the girls fell from the ride as it was coming down. The paper says an investigator is on the way to inspect all rides at the fair.
