Motorcycle rider fatally injured in crash

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on Cairo Road. The department has released the name of the man who was killed.

Deputies were called to a crash on Cairo Road around 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

According to investigators, 49-year-old Quenton Harris of Paducah was riding a motorcycle south on Cairo Road from Woodfield Road when the motorcycle left the road in a curve. The motorcycle overturned multiple times, and Harris was ejected from it. Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet.

Mercy Regional EMS responders took Harris to Baptist Health Paducah, where he died from his injuries.

In addition to deputies and EMS workers, the sheriff’s department says the West McCracken Fire Department, McCracken County Emergency Services and the McCracken County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
