One person arrested, another sought for Weakley County burglary

One person has been arrested and another is being sought in connection to a burglary at a Weakley County home.

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department says 31-year-old Jessica Darlene Seiber of Bradford, Tennessee, and 33-year-old Thomas Brent Patterson of Gibson County, Tennessee, broke into a home in the 1400 block of Liberty Road on Friday.

Deputies say an elderly couple was asleep inside and that the pair stole food, medication, jewelry, and then took a 2012 Chevrolet car.

Patterson then allegedly wrecked that car after driving a short distance.

While investigating the crash, deputies discovered the break in. Patterson escaped but Seiber was found hiding in a home on Will Young Road.

Seiber was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated criminal trespass, and theft of property over $10,000.

Deputies are still looking for Patterson. He has ties in Dyer and Trenton.

Anyone with information on Patterson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 364-5454.
