Commissioners authorize understanding with US Army Corps of Engineers

In a step forward for an effort to better protect your home from flooding, Paducah commissioners authorized a memorandum of understanding Tuesday with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The understanding is for work to be completed on Pump Station No. 2 and allow the city to have in-kind credits for the work.

The city plans to rehabilitate and construct the pump station. The project is estimated to cost more than $5 million.
