Local state bird being honored on stamp

One of our state birds, the Northern Cardinal is being honored on a stamp.

The U.S. Postal Service revealed four new stamps called "Songbirds in Snow Forever."

It includes the cardinal, which is the state bird for Kentucky and Illinois, along with Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The other three birds are the Golden-Crowned Kinglet, Cedar Waxwings, and the Red-Breasted Nuthatch.
