2 dead, 1 hurt in shooting outside Louisville birthday party

Officials say two people have died after a shooting outside a birthday party in Louisville.

Lt. Todd Kessinger told reporters three people were outside a home Tuesday night where the party was going on when they were struck by gunfire.

All three were taken to a hospital, where local media report a woman was pronounced dead.  Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Scott Russ told media that a second person died Wednesday morning. The third person remains hospitalized.

Russ identified the victims as 36-year-old Lashay Dorsey and 47-year-old Andre Mosley, both of Louisville.

Kessinger says police aren’t sure whether the suspect or suspects approached on foot or in a car. Police are interviewing witnesses.
