One arrested after working meth lab was found in Benton, KY

Deputies found a working meth lab after responding to a call of an assault.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday deputies were called to an assault between a father and son at 8123 Brewers Highway in Benton, Kentucky.

While at the home, deputies found a working meth lab. Inside the home, detectives found several coffee filters with methamphetamine, plastic baggies used to manufacture meth, drain opener, methamphetamine generator bottle, starting fluid, instant cold packs, lithium battery casings, tin foil and glass meth pipe with meth residue.

Kenneth Gordon was arrested and charged with 4th degree assault, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance-meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
