Marion, IL police looking for robbery suspect

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the IGA in Marion, Illinois on Tuesday.

The Marion Police Department says around 9:07 a.m. officers were called to an armed robbery in progress at Borowiak’s IGA located at 914 West Main Street. During the robbery one of the employees ran out of the back door and called 911.

Two suspects ran out of the business right before the officers arrived. After a short track by the Marion Police K-9, the two suspects were located in an area north of IGA.

Both suspects were bit by the K-9. Officers were able to arrest one of the suspects, 23-year-old Isaiah Dossie.

Dossie had a purse on him when he was arrested. The purse had cash in it that was stolen from IGA. The purse was taken from IGA and belonged to an employee.

Dossie was charged with armed robbery and obstruction. He also has an active warrant from Wisconsin.

Police are still looking for the other suspect. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a gray hoodie underneath. He may also have a dog bite to the lower part of his leg.
